EZS - Threewheeeled surprise II

Next to their brand new trike sector, the Southern Netherlands manufacturer also works hard on their traditional field of motorcycle combinations to regain lost market shares. After Kawasaki Versys and „Rally“ sidecar derivative „Offroad XC“ EZS presents a Ducati Multistrada conversion upon which we are going to report in our coming issue. In focus during the open day at the Zelhem factory however was a prototype BMW K 1600 GT, of which EZS designed a new front end to be used when harnessed for sidecar work. With its steel wheel carrier it is a completely new unit and is carried by aluminium plates used by EZS in similar form for their sidecar tele-forks.

Original Duolever is an integrated component for steering. Front wheel will be shod with 175/55 x 15, a 16 Inch version also is possible with brake disc adapters. In the back, the six cylinder runs on 185/50 x 16. The here shown RX4 is only one possible sidecar option. Unfortunately if you want to buy a BMW Six it’ll be some time in the future. As we hear from dealers, availability is scarce, not only in Holland as the big “K” already is sold out.
